I try to think where did my summer go, but it seems my summer was covered up by madness...and I honestly believe that the mean old red man holding the pitchfork was behind it all, perhaps to make me doubt my faith? Who knows. The timeline begins at the end of May, when Jason and I FINALLY decided to quit being "regular guests" at our church, but to actually join as members...
MAY 30...we agree that we want to join.
JUNE 2...wake up with the list of symptoms that make you think you're dying.
JUNE 3...force myself to go to doctor. Get a foot long q-tip down my throat. I have a bad case of strep.
JUNE 4...still out for the count.
JUNE 5-6...I start to feel better with meds, but I'm getting a strange sensation in my chest.
JUNE 7...I begin to cough. I can't speak. When I open my mouth to talk, I cough instead. It is my 33rd birthday.
JUNE 8...Jason "lays his bike down". He now has no skin on arm/torso. I spend over $50 at CVS for medical supplies.
JUNE 14...still coughing. Balin is now sick. I have major deadlines at work but am at home.
JUNE 17...doctor appt. I have bronchitis. More meds. Yellow Beetle killed my Madrid II. My brand new car is now gone and I have major back pain.
JUNE 18...all the insurance mumbo-jumbo begins, but I can't get any answers.
JUNE 20...Father's Day. His gift (fancy motorcycle helmet) is the wrong size..have to mail it back. Jason starts running fever. Arm is red with oozing sore and red streaks going up his arm to chest!!! We spend Father's Day in the ER.
JUNE 21/22...dealing with insurance. It's a full time job and I still have to ship out a magazine!
JUNE 24...my car is deemed totaled but 'she' doesn't have enough insurance to cover me and the other vehicle. I'm forced to claim on own insurance :(
JUNE 25...my insurance says it is NOT totaled. 72 days to fix it and I'm in a rental that I have to pay for out-of-pocket. Not cool.
JUNE 29...whew. Insurance finds more damage...totals my car. Things starting to look up.
JUNE 30?...Jason finds out his shoulder is broken from his accident.
JULY 2...I get a another new car. Madrid III.
JULY 3-10...vacation....Fort Morgan beach. tarballs and stench of oil. But we still had a good time. Much needed after June.
The month of July has been busy but certainly way better. I've been visiting chiropractor, so back feels better everyday. Jason's shoulder is still sore but mobility is gaining. And we finally made it back to church despite red man's efforts.

even though i knew all that was going on, it still a surprise to see it all written out like that! i had no idea that jason's shoulder was broken though! geez louise!
get out of here red man!
yeah...broke the tip of his humerus off. Luckily, it hadn't drifted too far away and they didn't have to do surgery to reset it. He went to doc yesterday, and they said he could start physical therapy to strengthen muscles around it.
